What is the Child Friendly Churches Award?

The Child Friendly Churches Award is an initiative to encourage churches to think about how child, youth and family friendly their church is and to identify areas where improvements can be made. Churches that complete the application process receive a certificate and a plaque which they can display in their church to advertise their child friendly status.

    What is the application process?
  • Download the self assessment pack
  • PCC consider the criteria and the self assessment is undertaken
  • Return completed application form to Child Friendly Awards Scheme
  • Children's Ministry Adviser will arrange to visit and in conjunction with the church agree any areas for improvement
  • Award presented for a period of 3 years.
