The 'Bishops in Action' website:
In July 2008 bishops of the Anglican church from across the world meet at the Lambeth conference. At this event, held every ten years, bishops discuss issues which concern the church and pray together.
The 'Bishops in Action' website:
- contains material for Religious Education, particularly at KS2
- includes photos, posters and fact files about bishops and their role in the church
- encourages multi-cultural, global perspectives in teaching about Christianity
- provides 5 acts of Collective Worship for Primary schools

I am delighted to welcome all you who have found this website. It is increasingly being used to link parishes and clergy of the diocese in order to inform, to communicate and to further our sense of mutual sharing and belonging in the name of Jesus. But it will also hopefully help Anglicans, other Christians and people of goodwill make contact with this holy place and with God who inspires us to become saints in our generation. Pray for us.
With every blessing
+ Stephen
