Bishop Graham CrayBishop Graham Cray writes:

This year's Poverty and Hope appeal gives us a tangible opportunity to rise to Jesus' challenge in Matthew 25:31-46. Christianity is a way of life, not just a pattern of belief. Actions speak louder than words.

The appeal gives us the opportunity to resource some essential deeds in places where most of us cannot go ourselves.

As our diocese becomes more focused on God's mission and his call for us to be a missionary people, Poverty and Hope, is part of God's reminder that His and our mission is not just here, at home, but wherever he calls and sends us and our fellow Christians.

I invite every parish, especially those parishes without overseas mission partners, to give outrageously this year.
