THE REVEREND HILARY JONES (Rector of Cheriton, St Martin; Priest-in-Charge of Cheriton Street, All Souls with Newington, St Nicholas; Bishop's Adviser for Women's Ministry) has also been appointed Area Dean of Elham with effect from 11.7.2008.

THE REVEREND IAN AVEYARD retires as Priest-in-Charge of Thanington, St Nicholas and St Faith in the Deanery of Canterbury; and as Diocesan Director of Ordinands on 31.1.2009.

THE REVEREND JAMES LEWIS FIELD (presently Rector of Gravesend, Holy Family with Ifield in the Diocese of Rochester) has been appointed Priest-in-Charge of the New Romney Cluster in the Deanery of Romney.

THE REVEREND JAMES ALEXANDER FRANKLIN TAYLOR, Associate Priest of St Peter-in-Thanet, St Peter the Apostle with St Andrew Reading Street, has been appointed VICAR of Sonning-on-Thames, St Andrew with St Patrick in the Diocese of Oxfor, 28.9.2008.

THE REVEREND DAVID ROBERT BARKER retires as Vicar of Sutton Valence, St Mary the Virgin with East Sutton, St Peter and St Paul and Chart Sutton, St Michael and All Angels in the Deanery of North Downs on 31.7.2008.

THE REVEREND COLIN REDFEARN HARTLEY (formerly Curate of Herne Bay, Christ Church with St Andrew, Hampton in the Deanery of Reculver; and temporary Assistant Curate based at Doddington in the Kingsdown and Creekside Cluster in the Deanery of Ospringe since 28th May 2008) has been appointed Team Vicar of Langley in the Diocese of Oxford with effect from 15.9.2008.

THE REVEREND STEPHEN LILLICRAP (Presently Associate Priest, Wye w Brook, Hastingleigh w Boughton Aluph and Eastwell; and Priest of Petham, Waltham and Elmsted, within the Stone Street Group in the Deanery of West Bridge) has been appointed Cluster Leader of Kingsdown and Creekside Cluster and Priest-in-Charge of Teynham, Lynsted and Norton in the Deanery of Ospringe, 18.9.2008.

The Reverend ANDREW DAVID THOMAS RICHARDS (presently Senior Chaplain and Head RS Wellington College, Berkshire) has been appointed Chaplain at the Duke of York Royal Military School, Guston, Dover from 1.9.2008.

The Right Reverend Stephen Venner, Bishop of Dover, The Bishop in Canterbury, Bishop for the Falkland Islands has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from the University of Birmingham. This will be conferred on 11.7.2008.

The Reverend Christopher Race retires as Principal Tutor of the Canterbury LMTS, 31.8.2008 and will also retire from licensed ministry in the Diocese of Canterburyfrom that date.

The Reverend BARBARA ELIZABETH WAY will resign from her post as part-time Anglican Chaplain at Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital, Thanet, with effect from 1.7.2008.

The Reverend OLIVER HARRISON (presently Priest-in-Charge of the Conventional District of Grove Green, St John) has been appointed as Vicar of Wilnecote in the Diocese of Lichfield. , 8.9.2008.

The Reverend Canon Jonathan Vincent Harman Russell retires as Vicar of Elham, St Mary the Virgin with Denton, St Mary Magdalene and Wootton, St Martin in the Deanery of ELHAM on 30.9. 2008.
